Ek practical baat: XLRI kehta hai ki jaldi apply karne walon ko test city allotment me fayda milta hai — first-come, first-served basis par. 6 December ki deadline ka intezaar mat karo, aakhri dinon me server slow ho jaata hai.
Kaun De Sakta Hai — Eligibility
XAT ki eligibility refreshingly simple hai. Kisi bhi recognized university se kam se kam 3 saal ki bachelor’s degree — stream koi bhi ho, Arts, Science, Commerce, Engineering, sab chalega. Final-year ke students bhi apply kar sakte hain, bas admission ke waqt degree complete honi chahiye.
Graduation me koi minimum percentage nahi maanga jaata, aur koi age limit bhi nahi hai. Matlab agar tum working professional ho aur 5 saal baad MBA ka sapna phir se jaga hai, to XAT tumhare liye khula hai.
XAT 2027 Registration Process Aur Fee
Registration poori tarah online hai, official website xatonline.in par (apply karne ka portal applications.xatonline.in hai). Steps simple hain:
- xatonline.in par jao aur New Registration par click karo.
- Valid email ID aur mobile number se register karo.
- Personal, academic aur communication details bharo.
- Apne preferred XLRI programmes select karo (same form me XAT aur XLRI dono ke liye apply hota hai).
- Photograph aur signature prescribed format me upload karo.
- Fee online pay karo — net banking, debit/credit card ya UPI se.
- Form submit karke confirmation page aur e-receipt download kar lo.
Fee: XAT ka base registration fee Rs 2,300 hai — sab categories ke liye same, koi concession nahi. Agar XLRI ke apne programmes (jaise BM ya HRM) ke liye apply karna hai to har programme par Rs 200 extra. Fee ek baar pay hone ke baad refund nahi hoti, isliye details dhyaan se bharna.
Ek zaroori note: XAT ka form sirf XAT exam aur XLRI programmes ke liye hai. XIMB, IMT Ghaziabad, MICA, TAPMI jaise dusre colleges XAT score to accept karte hain, lekin unme admission ke liye unke apne alag application process follow karne honge — result ke baad.
Exam Pattern — 95 Questions, 180 Minute
XAT 2027 me kul 95 questions honge, chaar sections me bante hue:

Pehle teen sections ke liye 170 minute ka common window hai — koi sectional time limit nahi, aur tum sections ko kisi bhi order me attempt kar sakte ho. Ye XAT ki sabse badi strategic advantage hai: apni strength ke hisaab se paper ko todo. GK section aakhri 10 minute me alag se hoga.
Negative marking thodi sakht hai: galat jawab par -0.25, aur 8 se zyada questions chhodne par har extra unattempted question par -0.10. GK me koi negative marking nahi hai. Ek aur khaas baat — Decision Making section XAT ka signature hai, CAT me iska koi equivalent nahi. Isme personal aur professional life ke scenarios diye jaate hain, aur tumhari critical thinking parki jaati hai.
Taiyari Ke Practical Tips
Pehli baat — Decision Making ko halke me mat lo. Ye section rattne se nahi, sochne se hota hai. Roz 4-5 DM sets practice karo aur har option ke peeche ka logic samjho. Yahi section aksar XLRI ka cutoff decide karta hai.
Dusri baat — unattempted penalty se daro mat, samjho. 8 questions tak chhodna safe hai, uske baad har chhoda hua question -0.10 kaatega. Isliye educated guess aur blind skip me farq samjho — jahan 50-50 ho wahan attempt karo, jahan kuch pata na ho wahan chhodo.
Teesri baat — official mock tests xatonline.in par hote hain, actual exam platform par. Inhe zaroor do; asli interface par practice ka koi substitute nahi hai. Time management ka sabse achha teacher timed mock hi hai.
Chauthi baat — GK ke liye alag se mahine mat gawao. Roz 15-20 minute current affairs padho, aur static GK (awards, capitals, organizations) ko chhote notes me revise karo. GK percentile me count nahi hota lekin overall profile me farq daalta hai.
